Its rather amazing to read about one`s own father (the flight engineer ) nearly 70 years after the event and 5 years after he died. He loved his time as a flyer, loved to talk about it and attended all the 625 sqn. re-unions until ill health forced him to stop the long trek from the north of Scotland to Lincolnshire.
I drove him down on his last `trip` in 2002.

Thankyou so much Alan and Duncan for encouraging the continued research and development of dad’s story which – like the website itself goes on expanding ,enlightening and enriching our memories of all those caught up in the very human story of Lancaster Lm658 and crew. There is a lot more to come and much to learn from our friends in Holland , 100 Squadron air and groundcrew of the time and extended family and friends .

Well done Alan, Uncle Lols mini biography looks great and I am sure Mum would have been very pleased with the way you have put it together. Congratulations to all involved with the website it is a real credit to you all .
